Who?
The 2008 team was incredibly awesome! So because of their awesomeness, we have immortalized them in history through this blog.
Sam(antha) - the blogger responsible for most of what is currently entertaining you, including the fun robot background. She is a senior at Bishop O’Connell High School and attending Case Western Reserve University next year. She developed her coding and blogging skills through Fluffyland.com, her sewing & craft website .
Kevin - a second year member of the hardware team, currently a senior at Dominion High School and planning to attend Virginia Tech next year. People describe him as “unusual”, “unpredictable” and “weird”; his main hobby is to find ways to annoy people, except at Botball: it’s mostly serious here.
Hannah - a second year member of the software team and currently a senior a Bishop O’Connell. She is a dancer and, on occasion, her robots will imitate her dance moves - subliminally, of course. She will be sharing an Awesome Dorm with Sam at Case Western in the fall.
Tim - known to the team as Time, he is the weirdest of the bunch. He is currently the team leader, and the object of blame if anything goes wrong. His eating abilities are often questionable and quite laughable. He’s a senior at Bishop O’Connell, and will be attending Virginia Tech next year.
Ben - a junior at Bishop O’Connell and a first-year member of the software team. Brother to Sam, he spends the majority of his time outside of Botball playing soccer. His soda of choice is cherry coke, but due to its unavailability at Botball, he drinks Dr. Pepper.
Chris - a sophomore at TJ who fraternizes with both the hardware and software teams, so everyone has someone to blame. He would like to add that he enjoys shooting crossbows and riding bears when he gets the opportunity. He is not easily pwned at guitar hero.
Liam - a sophomore at TJ and a member of the software team. He likes to show off his bruises and tiger tan, both gained from lots of lacrosse playing. He usually provides sappy music to serenade us as we code.. but the sappiness is preferred to the typical repeat of “Through the Fire and the Flames”.
Benjin - Benjin is.
Anthony - the tall freak and the biggest nerd (a fact he seems to be proud of). He makes most of the hardware contributions, most notably: Project X. He’s a senior at Dominion and is going to Penn State next year.
Matt - a first year team member who attends Dominion High School. He sometimes doesn’t answer to his real name but to “Tucker”, his last name. Outside of Botball, he spends half his time with Anthony and Kevin in the band (usually being big nerds) and is captain of the DHS Drumline. The other half of the time, he is trying to get as good as Liam at lacrosse.
